SMARTboard Wi-Fi or Internet Issues
If the SMARTboard is having Wi-Fi or internet connection issues, try the following steps:
- Hold down the power button on the left side of the SMARTboard.
- Wait until the slide to shutdown message appears on the screen.
- Slide to shut down or put the board to sleep.
- Flip the power switch to off. The switch is located on the bottom of the SMARTboard near the power cable/plugin area.
- Remove the USB device with the antenna from the right side of the SMARTboard.
- Re-seat the USB device with the antenna.
- Flip the power switch back on.
- Press the power button on the left side of the SMARTboard.
- Wait about one minute.
- Test the SMARTboard internet connection again.
If the SMARTboard still does not connect after these steps, please submit a technology support ticket.
SMARTboard Screen Does Not Turn On
If the SMARTboard screen does not turn on, check the power cable first.
The power cable connection can slip loose because of the way the port is designed. Push up on the power cable and make sure it is firmly connected to the SMARTboard.
Then check whether the power button on the left side of the SMARTboard is lit.
Power Is On, But There Is No Picture
If the power button is lit but there is still no picture on the SMARTboard, the issue may be more than a basic connection problem.
There is a chance the SMARTboard backlight may not be working.
Please submit a technology support ticket so IT can review the issue.
